Today's animal is Bert, a registered 100% Cashmere goat.  

He is a friendly boy with an impressive horns.

Cashmere is a luxurious, durable fibre.  That offers great insulation,warm in Winter cool in Spring.  Cashmere fibre needs to be combed, it is not sheared as with other animals.

When cashmere is used for clothing it gets softer with age.  It rarely pills.  Cashmere is often blended with other fibre such as silk and cotton.

Bert has been bred with our Angora females to produce Cashgora offspring.  This gives and even softer fibre.
